Student Volunteers

The AAEP Wet Labs will take place in Lexington, Ky., September 13-14, at the Kentucky Horse Park. The hands-on wet labs will feature sessions in Introductory Ultrasound, Equine Dentistry and Lameness Diagnosis. Wet labs offer the ultimate in up-close, participatory education. Each lab works with small groups to ensure an optimum learning experience.

Student volunteers are an essential part of the wet labs. In addition to assisting with set-up and handling horses, the labs present a valuable opportunity for students to interact with veterinarians from across the country.  Volunteers will begin set up on Wednesday, September 12 and the labs will run for two days this year, with labs finishing at 3:00p.m. on Friday, September 14. If any student chapters or individual student members are interested in helping with the wet labs (one or both days), please contact Debbie Miles in the AAEP office at dmiles@aaep.org. Volunteers will be compensated for their time.
