In September of 2003 the AAEP welcomed EQUUS magazine into the AAEP Educational Partner family of companies. EQUUS, published by Primedia Equine Group, helps its readers achieve a better understanding and appreciation of the nature and needs of the horse. Written for horse owners, the magazine explores topics ranging from the latest developments in veterinary science to the horse's remarkable relationship with man. With a history of support for the AAEP, EQUUS is the exclusive sponsor of the AAEP Cyber Café. Primedia's Web site, Equisearch.com, is a leader in providing information to horse owners. Compendium Equine
Compendium Equine is dedicated to advances in equine healthcare and welfare through education of equine practitioners and their clients. The journal is published by Veterinary Learning Systems, a division of Medimedia USA, and focuses on diseases and conditions that are seen routinely in daily practice. Every issue features at least one CE review article as well as “consultations” with respected experts, updates on new treatments, and case-based reports. Compendium Equine joined the AAEP as Media Partner in August of 2007.
The journal is produced with the same standards of excellence as its parent publication Compendium, the first continuing education journal for veterinarians. Launched as a standalone publication in 2006, Compendium Equine continues to expand its publication frequency to meet the demand for more specialized information about equine topics.

The Horse
The Horse: Your Guide To Equine Health Care is a monthly all-breed, all-discipline equine publication dedicated to providing hands-on horse owners with the latest news and information on the health, care, welfare and management of equids. The Horse was the first member of the media to become a member of the Educational and Media Partner Program. With its long history of support of the AAEP membership, The Horse became an AAEP Media Partner to help educate horse owners for the benefit of all horses. Recognizing that a veterinarian is a horse owner’s best resource when it comes to the health and care of that animal, The Horse strongly believes that an educated horse owner is a better horse owner, and a better client for his or her veterinarian. |

American Quarter Horse Association
The AAEP is proud to share in an educational alliance with the American Quarter Horse Association. This alliance, formed in 2002, was created to help provide mutually beneficial resources and information to horse owners, members and the equine industry concerning professional horse handling methods and state of the art horse health information. The AAEP serves as the Health Authority for AQHA's educational initiatives while the AQHA provides professionals for AAEP member sessions on horsemanship topics. |

Appaloosa Horse Club
The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) was established in 1938, with a mission of preserving, promoting and enhancing the Appaloosa breed. The ApHC has since registered more than 670,000 Appaloosas, which are known for their distinctive color, intelligence and even temperament. True to their reputation as an extremely versatile breed, Appaloosas can be found in nearly every discipline, including racing, dressage, rodeo, endurance riding or serving as reliable family horses. The international breed registry is headquartered in Moscow, Idaho, the heart the Palouse region – the Appaloosa breed’s namesake and point of origin.

Arabian Horse Association
In 2004, the AAEP and the Arabian Horse Association (AHA)
formed an alliance to help educate horse owners about quality
health care for the Arabian breed. The AHA and the AAEP share
a strong tradition of education as well as a love of the horse. With so many AAEP members involved in the hands-on care of this popular breed, partnership with the AHA is a natural extension of the veterinary care that is already provided on an individual basis. The partnership will focus on the presentation of health information to AHA members through publications as well as veterinary speakers at selected AHA national shows. |

Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association
TOBA, based in Lexington, KY was formed in 1961 and is a national trade organization of leading Thoroughbred horse breeders and owners. TOBA’s mission is to “improve the economics, integrity and pleasure of the sport on behalf of Thoroughbred owners and breeders.” Projects managed by TOBA include the American Graded Stakes committee, The Greatest Game, Inc., Claiming Crown and America’s Day at the Races. TOBA is also represented on the Board of Directors of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association as a founding member and on the American Horse Council. U.S. Equestrian Federation, Inc.
In 2003 the AAEP aligned with the USA Equestrian (now the U.S. Equestrian Federation) as an Alliance Partner. The two organizations share a common objective with each of their respective missions embracing the value of the welfare of the horse. The alliance is dedicated to educating horse owners about quality equine-health practices and endeavoring to provide AAEP members to serve as event veterinarians at USEF events nationwide. |

United States Dressage Federation
Founded in 1973, the United States Dressage Federation was established for the purpose of promoting and encouraging a high standard of accomplishment in dressage throughout the U.S., primarily through educational programs. Award opportunities exist for every level of competition, and there are special categories for different breeds, as well as for juniors/young riders, adult amateurs and riders aged 50 and over. USDF's educational programs include instructor certification, symposia, trainers' conferences, a university program and clinics for juniors/young riders and adults. USDF also produces many educational videos and publications for show management, officials, show volunteers and competitors.
