What You Should Know
The AAEP is providing this information and links to Equitarian projects and organizations as a service to members and others. There has been no screening or evaluation of this information or organizations and each person should evaluate each project and organization individually. Although AAEP members may be active in some of these programs, the AAEP does not have any direct connection or supervision of any of these programs or organizations unless specifically stated. Individuals considering donating to a program or organization should evaluate each opportunity. Individuals considering participation in a program should evaluate each opportunity with concern for their safety as it applies to travel and time spent in often underdeveloped areas. Inquiries should be directed to the individuals or groups listed with each program and to participating AAEP members.

August 27-September 7: The Oregon State CVM International Veterinary Students' Association is preparing for it's sixth trip to Ometepe, Nicaragua for an annual veterinary clinic for small and large animals. While the week-long clinic is organized, set-up, and mainly run by the veterinary students, veterinarians are imperative to this operation. This years' trip will run roughly from August 27 to September 7, which includes a few days of travel on either ends (arrival and departure dates can be flexible). We plan to hold a conference call for interested veterinarians on May 23 at 7 p.m. - if you're interested in more information or participating in the call, e-mail oregonivsa@gmail.com for further details.
