Donations now being accepted for Foundation Celebration live and silent auctions

Preparations for the 2009 AAEP Foundation Celebration are underway and this year again promises to be an exciting evening of dining, dancing, entertainment and fundraising.

Slated for Tuesday, Dec. 9, the 13^th AAEP Foundation Celebration will take place at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.  Our featured performer this year will be country music recording artist Tracy Lawrence.  For event details or ticket information click here.

The Silent and Live auctions, a significant fundraiser, which benefits the Foundation, will be held during the event, and you can help ensure a successful evening of fundraising by participating as a donor to the silent auction.  All donations will be counted towards the Foundation’s $250,000 Mystery Match Challenge. 

Here are two ways you can donate to the auction:

• Let the AAEP do the shopping for you!  You may simply make a donation indicated ‘silent auction purchase’ in cash, credit card or check for any amount and Foundation staff will purchase a great auction item for you and recognize you, your practice, company or farm as the donor.

• Donate an item to the silent auction.  Think of a unique item(s) you might have access to and send it to the AAEP Foundation office. Items that have been successful in the past include vacation packages, certificates, equine memorabilia, art, jewelry, antique books, even handmade saddles and rifles.  Items with a value of $3,000 or more may be considered for inclusion in our live auction.

If you haven’t donated yet and wish to, please complete an auction donation form either online or fax or mail in a form to the AAEP Foundation office by Oct. 30, 2009.
