Programs/EventsThe AAEP Foundation Inc. draws on the expertise of world-renowned caregivers and researchers in identifying the needs of the equine, and is unequaled in its ability to identify the most critical health concerns facing the equine population.
All charitable gifts made to the AAEP Foundation are used to fund regulated equine research projects, scholarships, and educational programs for veterinarians and horse owners. Foundation events like our calendar and greeting card program and our annual Celebration auction fundraiser are caveats to our fundraising program and add additional support to help horses. Because of its unique position within the equine industry and the expertise that the AAEP member veterinarian has in evaluating the health needs of the horse, the AAEP Foundation, Inc. strives to be recognized as the global coordinator of equine research and as the premiere point organization that prioritizes the health needs of the horse worldwide. There are a number of organizations within the industry that do a tremendous job of funding equine research. The role of the AAEP Foundation, Inc. is to work in concert with these foundations and help channel and prioritize all efforts in funding equine research. Working in alliance with other foundations (The American Quarter Horse Foundation, Morris Animal Foundation, and The Grayson-Jockey Club Foundation) the AAEP Foundation serves in identifying areas of needed research, channeling funds to those areas, and documenting and publishing the results of research projects around the world. As a charitable organization, the AAEP Foundation, Inc. encourages a variety of forms of participation. Whether you choose to become involved through planned giving, participate in a memorial program, send a general gift or donate to our annual fundraiser the Celebration, you will make a difference. We invite you to explore the many avenues of giving that are available. As a 501(c)3 organization your donation to the AAEP foundation is tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
