Client Seminar Guidelines

 

Presentation Guidelines
  • Limit lectures to 50 minutes.
  • Leave time for questions.
  • Use slides that show pictures of the condition when possible.
  • Keep word slides to a minimum.
  • Limit word slides to a maximum of three points.
  • Never use a font smaller than 24 font.
  • Speak slowly.
  • Don’t turn all of the lights off. 

 
Program Hints 
  • Provide a comfortable room.
  • Refreshments are a good idea.
  • Advertise at least one month before the program date.
  • Pick a theme, for example: performance horse topics, lameness, pre-purchase exams or neonatal care.
  • If it is an open house, you can invite local vendors.

AAEP Ready-Made Client Presentations
 
There are numerous power point slide show presentations available on a wide variety of subjects that can be used as stand-alone presentations. The AAEP also has education brochures available in packs of 25 to provide for your clients covering various equine health topics. For selected brochures there is a nominal fee charged to AAEP members.
